Loose items (sold by weight) need different tracking than packed.

Units

• Kg, gram, or both
• Some use “sacks” or “tins” as units

Stock In

• Weigh at receipt
• Or use standard conversion (e.g. 1 sack = 50 kg)

Stock Out

• Sell by weight; deduct from total
• Or pre-pack and treat as units
